Andrew Norris “Andy” Beckwith’s Story

Andrew “Andy” Norris Beckwith passed away on March 5, 2025, in Pensacola, Florida. Born in Florence, Alabama, Andy lived a life marked by dedication, adventure, and love for his family.

Andy proudly served in the United States Army, where he found his skills as a master machinist. His expertise and discipline carried over into his civilian life, shaping a career that reflected both precision and craftsmanship. Beyond his professional achievements, Andy found joy in traveling, fishing, and embracing life’s many experiences.

Andy is survived by his four children: Andrew Beckwith Jr. (Kelisha) of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; Ronald Beckwith (Joi) of Douglasville, Georgia; James Beckwith (Recrissha) of Huntsville, Alabama; and Toleta Beckwith (Larry) of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Andy’s memory will be cherished by his siblings- brothers Ronald (TaeHwa), Howard (Caroline), and Daryl (LaSharnda), as well as his only sister Sheryl-along with a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Louvenia Beckwith.

Andy’s adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors made him a beloved presence among family and friends. Whether casting a fishing line or setting off on a new journey, He embraced each moment with enthusiasm.
