Obituary of Don Carl Livingston Jr.

Don C. Livingston, Jr has left this world to be with the Lord on April 7, 2025. He loved life and lived it large, and in the end, he passed quietly with family by his side. He loved his family and friends with a passion. If he wasn’t with his family he was with his friends and no matter where he went, he was always making friends. This is also the day he officially retired from work. When you love what you do it’s not work, and you never retire. He loved his company, and all the people associated with it. He enjoyed golf, hunting, and his dogs, not necessarily in that order, but mostly he just loved being around people.

Don was born in Kansas City, Missouri on March 16, 1940, and went to college at Drury University in Springfield, MO. He married our Mother and had two sons, Don III and Jeff. He followed his father’s footsteps and went to work for Motorola in 1962 and worked there for 19 years out of Birmingham, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia. In 1981 he passed on being a VP with Motorola in Chicago and instead bought a small company called Communications Engineering Services, Inc in Pensacola, Florida and has called Pensacola his home ever since. He enjoyed a second home in the mountains in Sapphire, NC and spent a lot of time with some great friends playing golf, staying cool and being happily married the last year of his life to Debby Sanderson Livingston.

He is preceded in death by his parents Francis and Don C. Livingston Sr, and our Mother, Jo Ann Livingston. He is survived by his wife Debby Sanderson Livingston, his two sons Don C. Livingston, III(Shelley) and Jeffrey G. Livingston (Chris). Grandchildren Joshua Livingston (Sloan), Joy Beatty (Kevin), Joseph Livingston (Laurel), Johnny Livingston (Michaela), Thomas Livingston, Tyler Livingston, Colby Livingston. Great-grandkids, Noah, Carson, Jacob, Silas, Amelia, Eli, Garrett, Hadley, Joseph, Luke.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Friday April 18^th, 2025, at 11:30am at the Pensacola Yacht Club 1897 Cypress St, Pensacola, FL 32502
