Obituary of Lori Lee Sack

Lori L. Sack (Lipp), age 67 of Crestview, FL went peacefully to be with her Lord and family in heaven on July 22, 2021. Lori was born on October 26, 1953 in Deadwood, SD to Al and Helen Lipp. She graduated from Lead High School in Lead, SD in 1971 with great accomplishments in the sports department. She married Robert Sack in 1976 and they shared two loving daughters together before splitting ways. Lori also welcomed a son in 1984. Lori worked at the Homestake Gold Mine in Lead, SD and held numerous positions there during her years of being a single mother to her two daughters and one son. Lori also played softball and bowling as an adult until her children’s activities took all her time. You would always see Lori in the stands cheering her children on in the numerous activities they were in and even in some coaching positions at different times. There was nothing else she would rather have been doing. Her children and family were her life. Lori relocated to Florida in 2000, and finally settled in Crestview, FL in 2008 with her daughter Krissi. She enjoyed her life and precious friend, Karen , who passed in 2011 and Fern who was there until the end for her. Lori had some struggles with her health in the last years, but gave a good fight until the end. Lori is survived by her children Krissi (Mike) Hannahs of Crestview, FL along with her grandchildren Lucas and Kennedi; Jennifer (Josh) McBurnett of Spearfish, SD and grandson Tyler; and Johnnie (Carrie) Sack of Sioux Falls, SD and grandson Keegan; sister Cheryl Chaput of Spearfish, SD; niece Wendy Addington of Spearfish, SD; a very special Aunt Avis (Warren) Felter of Lead, SD; and cousin Peri Knabel and family of Lead, SD. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, step-father Marvin Dietrich, grandparents, her brother John Lipp and aunts, Vicki Sahli and Carol Miles Buckley. A private family service will be held at a future date by her family in her hometown of Lead, South Dakota. Until then we will hold our memories close.
