Obituary of debra kimrey

Debra Kimrey, 67, of Mary Esther, Florida passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 surrounded by close friends and family. Debbie was born on December 7, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee to Eugene and Louise (Cox) Smitherman. She was a successful business-owner and prominent salesperson who served the Florida Panhandle for nearly 30 years. Debbie was a force to be reckoned with. She was an avid gardener who was always ready for a good time. She sewed quilts and clothes and was always on the lookout for a bargain. She relished over-feeding her loved ones and was never too full for a Krispy Kreme donut. She was happy as long as she was going with her Dean and her Shadow. She was endlessly optimistic, proud, fun-loving, and gentle. Debbie is survived by her sons, Brian (Sue) Kimrey and Joshua (Natalia) Kimrey; her granddaughters, Lucila and Esme Kimrey; sisters, Barbara Hoffay and Donna Baker; and her loving partner, Dean Gibson and her dog Shadow. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at The American Legion Post 297 in Destin at 2:00 pm.
