Obituary of shirley joe reeves

Shirley Joe Reeves, Laurel Hill, Florida passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Joe was born on May 4, 1937 in Laurel Hill, Florida to Lewis and Gussie Reeves and was a lifelong resident of Okaloosa County. Joe was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Everyone who truly knew him will miss his laughter, sense of humor and storytelling. He held various jobs throughout his lifetime, always stayed busy and loved to farm, fish and work in the yard. He graduated from Laurel Hill School in 1956 and was married June 20, 1958 to Jerrie Boyette until her death in 1998. On November 19, 2001 he was married to Eileen Cote until her death in 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents Lewis (1973), Gussie (2000), infant sister Betty Lou, brothers Willie Dee (1969) and Huey (1994). Survivors include his sisters Sue Weekly (Tony) of Laurel Hill, Florida and Debbie Anderson (Gary) of China Grove, Alabama. Daughter Rhonda Weekley (John) of Destin, Florida and Stacy Reeves (Karen) of Cumming, Georgia. Grandchildren Jessa and Becca Weekley, Jason, Jerra and Jordan Reeves along with 11 nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Covenant Home Healthcare and nurses, Stacy and Donna, also aide Jessie for their care, compassion and sense of humor while taking care of daddy. Elder Services for their services and support but most of all a special thank you for allowing Glenda Lanasse too come every day to cook breakfast and visit with daddy. We would also like to thank Emerald Coast Health and Rehabilitation in Fort Walton Beach. Although his stay with you was short thank you for the care your employees provided. Your dedication does not go unnoticed. Thank you all.
