Obituary of Elizabeth Bu zuniga

Elizabeth Bu Zuniga, 51 of Pensacola, FL, passed away on July 12th, 2022. She was born in Honduras on February 8th, 1971, to Maria Antonia Zuniga Muñoz and Pedro Bu Madrid. She graduated from Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán with a bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences in teaching Biology and Chemistry and from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Honduras with a master’s degree of Science in Higher Education. She married Maximino Pena Aguilar in 1995. Elizabeth was a caring, loving, compassionate, and honest wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, teacher, colleague, and human. She worked as a teacher at the Centro de Educacion Basica Esteban Mendoza for ten years and at the Instituto Oficial Tecnologico de Administracion de Empresas, “INTAE,” for eight years. After moving to Pensacola, FL, she worked as a teacher at the Escambia County School District for seven years. She was known everywhere for her kind and contagious smile. She was able to impact and change the lives of so many people around her. Her family and friends remember her as a bright, shining, and hopeful light in their lives. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Maximino, and her children Max Fernando, Maria Jose, Clara Isabel, and Francisco Javier. She is preceded by Maria Antonia Zuniga Muñoz (mother), Pedro Bu Madrid (father), Ondina Bu Zuniga (sister), Nelly Bu Zuniga (sister), and Teresa Bu Zuniga (sister). Funeral arrangements are scheduled for 6:00 pm on July 15th, 2022, at Family Funeral & Cremation, 5627 N. Davis Highway, Pensacola, FL 32503.
