Obituary of Clifford Edward Long, Jr.
Clifford Edward Long, Jr. passed away unexpectedly Monday March 28, 2022, at the age of 48.
Cliff was born January 5, 1974, in Gadsden Alabama. He graduated from Glencoe High School in Alabama where he played football, going on to play in college. He loved fishing and hunting, his ole red truck, and all things Alabama-Bama.
Cliff worked as a firefighter and was given The Outstanding Citizen Award
by the Mayor of Gadsden Alabama. He later worked for the Department of Juvenile Justice before becoming a department leader at JCPenney for several years. At the time of his passing, he was a maintenance technician for a correctional institution.
Cliff was a Boy Scout leader for many years, influencing young men to be leaders.
He was always willing to help anyone who needed him and was much loved by the community. He will be greatly missed by many. He put his all into everything he did, but most of all Cliff excelled at being a loving husband and father. He had a lifetime of adventures planned for his family, that they could all have together. Cliff is survived by his loving wife Crystal Caldwell Long, his children David, Rebecca, Abby, Grayson and Hayden. His sister Christy (Troy) Johnson, his nephews Jeffrey (Skyler), and Travis Johnson.
Cliff was predeceased by his loving mother and father, Clifford and Kathy Long.
The funeral service will be held at Family Funeral and Cremation, 5627 N. Davis Highway, Pensacola, Florida 32503, Saturday April 2, 2022. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM and Service,
followed by the funeral at 3:00 PM.
