Obituary of Jerry Don gordon

Jerry Don Gordon, 76 of Spanish Fort, AL, PASSED PEACEFULLY on August 17, 2021. He was born in Decatur, AL on August 11, 1945 to Les and Lola Gordon. Don attended Auburn University. He worked in the construction industry for 51 years, served his community as trustee at Baldwin County High School, president of local youth baseball, coaching youth sports, and various other community endeavors. Don is survived by his son, Jerry Gordon; his daughter, Lani (Wes) Giles; grandchildren, Payton (Chandler) Roley, Jordan (Ian) Pimperl, Meagan, Cooper, Emma Grace and James; great grandson, Carter Roley; brother, Wayne (Diana) Gordon and multiple nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Les and Lola Gordon; his sister, Pat Jacobs and his niece Lisa Gordon. He loved his family and found joy in giving of himself to them. He never met a stranger, genuinely loved people and took the time to make sure they knew he valued them. Memorial arrangements are scheduled for 2:00- 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at First Methodist Church in Bay Minette, AL. The visitation is 2:00-3:00 with the memorial service to follow immediately.
