Obituary of edward carson lichtenberger
On Wednesday, January 13, 2021, Edward C. Lichtenberger, loving father and husband, passed away from the Corona Virus.
He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Carol Lee Andersen Lichtenberger; son, Charles “Chuck” C. Lichtenberger, and daughter, Lynda Anderson (along with her spouse Fr. John Anderson, and children Mary Anna Elisabeth Anderson and John Edward Joseph Anderson). Ed joins his oldest son, Edward A Lichtenberger who predeceased him.
Ed spent his Grammar and High School years in Yonkers, NY. As a young man, Edward was an Eagle Scout and played football in high school and college, and served in the Navy during the Korean War settling in Ft Lauderdale after his honorable discharge. He graduated with a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Florida. Following graduation, Ed worked most of his life in the Surgical Supplies industry in Sales and Marketing. A pioneer in sales marketing and technique he became an in demand guest lecturer at local universities and conducted Training Schools around the country.
Edward Lichtenberger was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, raising three wonderful children and two precocious grandchildren. Baptized in NY in his youth, Ed was a lifelong Christian and churchgoer. In later life he found spiritual renewal as a member of the Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Greensboro, North Carolina and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pensacola Florida. Besides his devotion to his family Ed was a passionate autodidact spending his free time learning about Archaeology, History, and Natural Science. He will be greatly missed.
