Obituary of Kenneth alan williams

Kenneth A. Williams, 71, of Pensacola, Florida went to be with our Lord October 12, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. He fought a valiant fight. Ken was born June 3, 1949, in New Jersey, the son of John and Mildred Williams. He graduated from Ramapo Regional High School in Franklin Lakes, NJ and served in the Army after high school. As part of the 1st Air Cavalry, he served one year in Vietnam where he was awarded several citations and 2 Bronze Stars. After his service, he built a wonderful career in sales, relocating the family from NY to Charlotte and Atlanta and business travels all over the country and overseas. Ken met his forever sweetheart, Jeanne (Ashworth) in high school. They married after his return from Vietnam and were married 49 years. They were blessed with two wonderful sons, John and Michael and six grandchildren. He was an avid golfer, boater, and Corvette enthusiast, belonging to Grand Lagoon Yacht Club and the Miracle Strip Corvette Club. But, mostly, he was a devout Christian and member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Ken is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne; son, John and wife, Melinda, son, Michael and wife, Shelby and grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, Sydney, Bryan, Carter, and Nathan. There will be a private remembrance at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
