Obituary of alberta c. lagergren

With heavy hearts, we said goodbye to our mother and grandmother, Alberta “Bertie” C. Lagergren, who passed on Sunday, April 12, 2020. Bertie was born in central Pennsylvania on January 21, 1937 to parents, William C. and Mary E. Novak. She raised three children and was a proud Air Force command flight surgeon’s wife. Bertie was the CEO and CFO of a loving home decorated for every occasion. After their “joint” retirement from the Air Force, she and Bill settled in Pensacola in 1980. Bertie is preceded in death by her husband, Col. William Rudolph Lagergren, MD, MPH; her son, Thomas Henry Lagergren; her parents, a brother and a sister. Bertie is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Chuck Fulton of Big Canoe, GA; son, Michael Alynn Lagergren of Pensacola; grandson, Daniel Emerson Lagergren of Pensacola; granddaughter, Brittany Moran of San Diego, CA; cat, Misty of Pensacola and many friends and family near and far. Her cremains will be interred at Barrancas National Cemetery alongside her husband. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in her honor. We miss you, Mom, but love you more.
