Obituary of Roger Dean Noble

Roger Dean Noble, 62, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. Roger was born in Perryton, Texas to Henry W. Noble and Ruby Etta Cooper of Balko, Oklahoma. Roger attended school in Balko for twelve years, graduating in 1974. In 1977, he received a Bachelor of Science, graduating Summa Cum Laude, majoring in Accounting and Business Administration from Panhandle State University. He then received a Master of Accountancy from University of Oklahoma in 1978. This was followed by a CPA License in Oklahoma in 1981 and CPA License in Texas in 1982. After completing college with 161 credit hours in less than four years, Roger started his career in the management training program with Conoco in Ponca City, Oklahoma and was later transferred to Houston, Texas. He left Conoco to join The Coastal Corporation where he met his wife, Karlene. From Coastal came positions with Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Penn Central Corporation in Woodbridge, New Jersey and Plano, Texas; The Rosewood Corporation in Dallas, Texas; CKB in Dallas, Texas; Lewis Bear Company in Pensacola, Florida and GSC Enterprises in Pensacola, Florida. When he stopped working at age 49, he was Division VP, Division Controller and one of twelve designated key employees among the two thousand employees at GSC. Karlene and Roger were married in 1984. They had three fur babies (dogs), Smoke, Star and Sky. Their favorite vacations were to adults-only, all-inclusive resorts and they enjoyed 75 over the years. They also enjoyed going to the Gulf Islands National Seashore and volunteered with keeping the beaches clean for over twenty-five years. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, beloved fur babies and his brother, Ronald Noble. He is survived by his wife, Karlene of 34 1/2 years; brother, Derral (Kim) Noble; sister-in-law, Dottie Noble; nephews, Ron Noble and Brent Noble and nieces, Teresa Scannell and Tracie Jolic. Roger was cremated and no services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in Roger’s name to the Junior Humane Society, 901 Williams Ditch Road, Cantonment, Florida 32533.
