Obituary of Judy Elaine Boggs
Judy Elaine Boggs, 71, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida went home to her final resting place on Sunday, February 03, 2019 while a patient at the Emerald Coast Rehabilitation Center in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Her death followed a number of surgeries during a long illness, which found her hospitalized repeatedly over the last three years.
Judy was born in Athens, Alabama on May 12, 1947 and was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Byles and Mary McNeese. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Jerry Byles, and wife, Faye and Bobby Byles. Judy leaves behind a sister, Rebecca Clutts and her husband Harold Clutts, of Huntsville, Alabama as well as a brother, Estel Byles of Savannah, Georgia. Also left behind were her daughter, Deana Stephens and partner, Rico Reed, of Shalimar, Florida, her son, Shannon Anderson, and partner Dominique Walenburg of Niceville, Florida, and step-son Steve Anderson, of Shalimar, Florida. Grandchildren left behind are Teresa Ellis, Brittany Nicholson, her partner, Calvin Stoudmire, Jami Stephens, Savannah Stephens, Alexandria Saunders, Kailee Anderson, Alyssa Anderson, Jade Anderson and Ryan Stephens. Great Grandchildren left include Tiniyah Jones, Skyler Jones, Justin Jones Jr. and Caleana Stoudmire.
Judy loved traveling and spent two years among the Monks in Thailand, a country which she grew to love. She enjoyed visiting the beaches around the Fort Walton Beach area but, most of all, she loved her Family. Family values and keeping the Family close together meant the world to her. Judy always thought of others and wanted the very best for everyone. She would go out of her way to help anyone in need regardless of whether they were family, friends or strangers. She had a loving heart and was always considerate of others. When her children were small, she opened her home to their friends and when parents were looking for their children their first stop would be Judy’s home and, in most cases, their child would be there.
When we remember Judy, we will recall a lady who was very resilient and, even though at death’s door on many occasions, she would bounce back time after time, which she always attributed to miracles sent by God. I’m convinced the Lord allowed her to remain on this earth to be an example to all of us. She will be greatly missed by all of us who knew her.
