Frank graduated in 1961 from Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, AL. Frank served honorably in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964. He married the love of his life, Martha, on January 10, 1964 and they lived in Alexander City for two years. In 1966 they moved to Montgomery, AL and had their only son, Philip, in 1970. In 1973 the family moved to Pensacola, FL. Frank and Martha built their retirement home on Mulat Bayou in Milton, FL in 2000. They were married 54 years and 6 months. Frank was a loving husband, role model father and grandfather, a friend of the senior citizens at the Bagdad FL Senior Center and he maintained friendships with his fellow corrections officers. Frank spent most of his work time at the Escambia County Road Prison, the only county-operated work camp in Florida. Frank attended Pensacola State College and Troy University. He completed a certification in criminal justice and served as a training officer for his shift. Frank retired in 2006 and received a lung transplant in 2007 for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. The family appreciates the support received from the Road Prison correction officers during the 2004 Hurricane Ivan before and after the lung transplant, his most recent illness and the funeral. Frank and Martha are life members of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Pensacola. They enjoyed traveling to such locations as Greece, Germany, France, Italy, Bulgaria, Alaska and Hawaii.
