Obituary of Willie Mays Walker, Sr.

Willie Mays Walker, Sr., 61, of Pensacola, Florida passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018. He was born August 21, 1956 to Evelyn Jackson (deceased) and Willie C. Walker (Dorothy) in Andalusia, Alabama. He confessed to Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church. He attended and graduated from Andalusia High school class of 1975. He then married Julia Matthews and moved to Pensacola, Florida where he lived until his death. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Julia Walker; his children, Willie Walker, Jr., Dana Walker, both of Pensacola and Jennifer (Albert) Williams of Dothan, AL; grandchildren, Chase, Kristy and Bauhana; two brothers, Anthony (Shelby) Jackson of Alvion, MI and Marcellas Walker of Vero Beach, Florida; three sisters, JeaNida (Nathaniel) Weatherall of Alvion, MI, Yolanda Walker of Vero Beach, FL and Michelle Butler of Andalusia, AL; one uncle, Peter Green and two aunts Bobbie Jean Barnes and Ruby Nell Akins all of Andalusia, AL. He is also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to cherish his memory. Visitation will be held at 2:00 pm with services following at 3:00 pm on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Family-Funeral and Cremation, 7253 Plantation Road, Pensacola, Florida 32504.
