Obituary of Danielle Koehler

On March 26th, 2017, at 6:45pm the night sky gained another star when Danielle Claire Hembree Koehler, born July 12, 1983, in Fort Walton, Florida, was tragically taken from this world at the young age of 33. Danielle was a dedicated mother to her sons Jaxen and Tysen, and loving wife of 16 years to her husband Jeff. Danielle was passionate and fierce about the life that she lived. She was a keen observer of life and the people in it. Her talent was highlighted through her photos and life videos that she created. Danielle’s passions extended to being a soccer coach and referee, where she was dedicated to the hearts and minds of the young and to the sport itself. In this capacity, Danielle helped cultivate the lives of hundreds of children through their shared love of soccer. Danielle leaves behind her husband, Jeffrey Dean Koehler and her 14 year old son, Jaxen Dean Koehler and 13 year old son, Tysen Jeffrey Koehler living in Pace, Florida. Danielle is survived by her mother, Susan Carol Chambers, her father Kevin Clayton Hembree and wife, Lois Hembree, her brother, Joshua Michael Hembree, her mother-in-law Leslie Anne Cox and husband Richard, her father-in-law Rusty Koehler, her aunts Jan D. Hembree PhD and her husband Jerry McDaniel, Justina Marie Hembree Benoit and her husband Henry Joseph Benoit, Katherine Claire Hagedorn Hembree, her nephew, Kristian Robert Hembree, her cousins Karla Claire Hembree, Justin Hembree McDaniel, Augustus Harry Wade Benoit, her step nieces Ashley and Holly Denny, Alexandria Long, Savannah Rose Long, her step nephews Dylan Stanley Long, Carson Long, her grandmother Virginia Claire Sillman, step-grandmother Cassandra Long, her sister-in-law Heather Marie Koehler, her step-sister Kellie Denny and husband James, her step-uncles Drew Long and his wife Trish and Neal Long. Danielle is predeceased by her uncle, Stephen Wade Hembree, whom she adored, her aunt Carla Claire Hembree, her step-father, Barton Patrick Chambers, and her grandmother Esther Orcutt. A memorial in Danielle’s honor will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 on a beach pull-off west of AJ’s in Destin at 7:30pm. Those wanting to attend are asked to meet at AJ’s Oyster Bar at 4pm-6pm to gather, remember Dani by sharing good memories before heading out as a group to the beach access where her ashes will be spread.
