Obituary of Lauren Saliba Goodwin

Lauren Nicole Saliba-Goodwin, age 56, of Pensacola, Florida went home to be with the Lord on May 21,
2023 after a valiant battle with cancer. She passed peacefully with her loving husband Rob, as well as
family and friends at her side. Lauren was born in Warren, Michigan to George Sam Saliba and Patricia
Ann Mutart Saliba.
Lauren graduated summa cum laude with an associate degree from Macomb Community College and
then went on to be an entrepreneur in multiple areas including owning and operating tanning and
smoothie bars in Maine.
Lauren had a sense of adventure that was contagious. She loved the Lord, and she loved people. She had
the gift of hospitality, was the best tour guide ever, and kept us all laughing with her wonderful sense of
humor. People were what was most important to Lauren.
Lauren is preceded in death by her parents George Sam and Patricia Ann Saliba, as well as her brother
Bradly Sam Saliba.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Robert Joseph Goodwin; siblings David C. Parker
(Marlene), George Gerard Saliba (Diane), and Holly Saliba Smith (Jim); niece (like a daughter) Justina
Ablahad (Mike), Natalia, Valentina, Armani and Gianni and many other beloved nieces, nephews, family,
and friends.
A memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate Lauren’s life in Michigan on June 17, 2023, at
 Great Lakes Church, 39051 Dodge Park Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48313. The family will receive
friends at the church from 9:00 am until 10:00 am prior to the Memorial Service which will be held at 10
am.
There will be a time during the service to share your favorite memories of Lauren. I know we all have
some great Lauren stories.
