Obituary of Timothy Harold Parker
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Timothy Harold Parker, 72, a beloved son, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Tim passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, surrounded by his family and met in heaven by his son, Kyle Parker on his birthday. Tim was born on April 16, 1951 in Birmingham, AL, the son of William H. Parker and Betty Aplin Parker.
Tim reluctantly was enrolled at Lyman Ward Military Academy, Camp Hill, AL as a freshman, In true Tim Parker fashion, he made lemonade out of lemons and graduated Battalion Commander of the Class of 1970. He attended Jacksonville State University where he played football for Charley Pell. After returning to Birmingham, he continued his college classes at UAB and working at Deaton Motor Lines. Tim then joined the Army National Guard where he served for two years until honorably discharged.
Trucking was second nature. As a toddler Tim rode with his grandfather who had fleet of trucks leased to Eagle Motor Lines, and as an adult worked many trucking positions until realizing "Sales" was his calling. Tim worked for and partnered with several carriers until starting Bay Lines, Inc. in 1985. He ventured into the waste business forming Containers, Inc., the "Can Man" in 2001 and just recently began 4-U Storage Solutions.
Tim had an unwavering commitment to his family. He is preceded in death by his son, Timothy Kyle Parker, father, William H. Parker, sister, Susan Marshall, grandparents, Claude and Ellie Aplin, father and mother-in-law, Gabby, and Lou Boyd.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy, mother, Betty Parker, daughter, Beth White, son-in-law, Daniel Adams, grandchildren, Kayla Parker, Chase White, Caitlyn Hardin (Drew), Lexi Adams, sister, Patti Kizziah, aunt, Mary Riordan, many nieces and nephews and friends he considered family. Trucks, boats; music, airplanes and American history were Tim's passion. He was former president of LWMA Alumni Association, member of Alabama Truckers Association, Hadji Shriners, and Pensacola Big Game Club.
A Service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, 4:00PM, Liberty Church, 2221 S Blue Angel Pkwy,
Pensacola, FL with Celebration of Life following at The Port at Zeke's Marina, 26619 Perdido Beach Blvd, Orange Beach, AL.
