Scott Sidner

Obituary of Scott Andrew Sidner

Scott Andrew Sidner

Scott (Andy) Sidner was a very loving, caring, hardworking, kindhearted soul, best friend, husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle.  He loved his big family and all his friends.  He knew no strangers nor had no enemies.  Scott loved playing with his grandbabies, he stated, “they are what life is all about, they make it all worth it”.  He loved his wife Serena more than anything in this world.  He always had to touch her in some way, if it was only kissing her hand, her head, rubbing a small circle on the back of her hand or just to kiss her.  He told Serena after they first met that she was his savior, that he was in a bad place with bad thoughts till he seen her and knew she would be the one to save him.  They had a wonderful 24 years together.  They have 2 children and 3 grandbabies that he wouldn’t trade anything for and loved with everything he was. He loved to scuba dive and fish.  He always said that he could do that all day because it was so relaxing for him, and he loved to be one with the ocean.  He talked about when this day ever came to his last breath, he wanted to be with the ocean, be a small part of it that can grow to become a huge reef someday.  That was his dream. He grew up in a life of fishing with his dad, brother, uncle then nephews/niece.  He loved their weekend excursions out at Fort Pickens taking over the pier with his family doing what they did best.  That meant the world to him.  Scott was one hard working man that didn’t know when to stop.  He knew he had to support his family at all costs and was awesome at it.  He grew up as a steel construction worker and carpenter which was his passion.  That man could make some wonder stuff with now graphs or blueprints to go by, just pure imagination.  He was extraordinary at everything he did.  He loved spending time with his brother and nephews/niece working on their race cars or just going to waffle house.  To him every minute he spent with them was precious and he would shine like he won the world.  He loved his big family cookouts and get togethers such as Thanksgiving and 4th of July.  He loved to cook for everyone and spend quality time talking about the past, present and future.  He had some crazy stories that everyone had a part of and that’s all he wanted is to remember the memories of his adventures in life.  To know him and to love him would be the greatest honor of anyone’s life.

In his 53 years on this earth, he has managed to touch the hearts of thousands of people.  He will forever remain in our hearts, and in our memories.

His motto was:  Everything happens for a reason; we can’t ask why because only God knows.  Well God knew his reason for taking him and making him a new angel to watch over his family and friends.  He will never hurt or suffer again, instead he can fly with his wings wide open in this great open sky.  Every time the sun beams down on your face that’s his kiss.  Every time the wind blows, it will be him flapping his beautiful white wings.  Even though this is a sad moment for everyone because we cannot see him or touch him, it also is a beautiful one.  Now we all have the most wonderful Guardian Angel watching over us.  He gave us life; he showed us what true love is.  He showed us how to live life and taught us what true love and happiness is and for that I thank him.  If it wasn’t for him, some wouldn’t be here today.  We love you husband, father, papi, brother, uncle and friend.  You will be missed and never forgotten.  If you ever wonder what he’s doing just look into the sky over a big, beautiful ocean and you will find him with his fishing pole waiting for a bite.
