Obituary of Eva Lynn Morales

Eva Lynn Morales (Cookie), 76, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 in Fort Walton Beach, Fl., surrounded by her loving family.  Eva was born October 19, 1946 in Caribou, ME to Lendal Mills Sr. and Phylis (Cochran) Mills. 

Eva was a graduate of Washburn District High School and furthered her career graduating from Bernards Hair Styling School in Lewiston, ME.  Returning to her home town in Washburn she set up her beauty shop and soon meet her husband of 43 years,Tec Sargent Ismael Morales.  They eventually moved to Dyess AFB in Abeline, TX and then soon transferred to Hurlburt Field AFB in Mary Esther, Fl.  Here Eva changed career paths and worked in the retail field for a short period before settling in the medical industry where she retired after 28 years. 

Eva loved to crochet afghans and has over the years donated many to various nursing homes, family and friends.  She was also known for her love of cooking, cookouts and family reunions but  her most special love was given to her great & grandchildren.  She will be remembered for her love for Jesus, intimate patience, persistent love, robust laughter, beautiful smile and love of life.

Eva Lynn Morales is survived by her son, James Neuman Morales of Fort Walton Beach; Grandchildren, Robert Neuman Morales-Scott, Sean, Devin, Kaitlin, Aeron, LeeAnn, Michael and Amanda. Eva was especially proud of her 4 great- grandchildren, Aurora, B’Elanna, Liam and Ronin.  She is proceeded by her husband, Master Sargent Ismael Morales and son, Joseph Lee Morales. Siblings include Philip Mills, Martha Bouchey, Norine Bishop, Lorna Redmond and one deceased brother Lendal Mills Jr.

Visitation will be Friday July 28th, 2023 from 9:00am - 10:00am at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 101 Mary Esther Blvd., Mary Esther,Fl 32569, Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 to 11:00 AM  Burial to immediately follow at Beal Memorial Cemetary, 316 Beal Parkway NW, Fort Walton Beach FL 32548. A Final gathering inspired by her love of cooking at her home on Sotir St, Fort Walton Beach, Florida
