Obituary of Barbara Jean Brigante

Barbara J. Brigante passed away on July 28, 2023.  She was born on July 8, 1932 in Leaksville, Virginia to Sammy Lane Cheek Miskill and Lavender Cheek. 

Barbara lived throughout her life in Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, and Florida.  While in Florida, she was active and worked with the Fort Walton Beach Hospital, the Follies, Westwood Retirement Home, and as a neighborhood Mom to the kids growing up on Hawthorne Circle in Fort Walton Beach.

She is survived by her daughter, Samantha Brigante Lambert (Scott); sons, Geoffrey and Jerry; grandchildren, Drew and Alex Lambert, and Devonnie Brigante; sister, Terry Hinchey and great-aunt, Nancy Russell.

A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at a later date.
