Obituary of Howard Eugene Lovins, Sr

Howard E.Lovins Sr. passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 in Milton, Florida.

Howard was born on February 19, 1936 in Pensacola, Florida to Edith and Arthur Lovins Sr. He worked at the University of West Florida in the grounds department for over 36 years and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Milton, Florida. Howard loved his family and friends. He loved being outdoors and he loved playing dominoes and bingo with his friends at Carter's Crossing. He married the love of his life Marjorie Brooks on July 13,1967 in Pensacola, Florida.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 28 years Marjorie Lovins; brothers Leroy, Aubrey, Alan and Wiley.

Howard is survived by his three children: Regina Jaffrey (Marty) of Midway Florida, Howard Lovins Jr. (Tricia) of Pensacola, Florida and Cindy Edes (Todd) of Milton, Florida, his brother Elvin Lovins Sr of Milton, Florida, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 26,2023 at Family Funeral and Cremation in Pensacola, Florida with visitation from 12:30 to 1:30 and service at 1:30. Interment will follow at Whitmire Cemetery.
