Obituary of Suzanne Sheryl Platte

Suzanne Platte, born Suzanne Strawser, 66, of Crestview, Florida, passed away on Monday, September 25th after a valiant battle with breast cancer.

Suzanne was born on August 24, 1957 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Floyd and Ethel Strawser.  She was the youngest of eight children.  Sue graduated from Choctawhatchee Sr. High School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and joined the U.S. Air Force.  She served one enlistment while concurrently attending Troy State and graduating with her Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.  Following her enlistment, she worked as a Software Tester for the Department of Defense over many years.  Later in life, Sue became an independent businesswoman who used her eye for a bargain to acquire often overlooked items at garage and estate sales.  She would transform these items into desirable pieces commanding a premium fee.

Sue is survived by her brother, David; daughter, Melissa; son-in-law, Chad; son, Jordan; and grandson, Cooper.
