Obituary of Richard Paul Nicely

Richard Paul Nicely, age 80, of Navarre, Florida, formerly of Wabash, Indiana passed away Tuesday October 17, 2023, in his apartment in Florida.

He was born to Paul L. and Dorothy R. (Johnson) Nicely on July 21, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky.  He was married to Dianna K.(Eltzroth) Nicely on December 7, 1963.  Dianna, whom he loved and missed very much passed away in 2013.

Richard was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed volunteering at the NYSA soccr fields, especially when his grandchildren were playing.

He is survived by sons, Darrin P. Nicely (Melissa), Navarre, Florida and Mark R. Nicely (Denise), Tampa, Florida; brother, James Nicely (April), Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Andrew and Alexandra Nicely.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Terri Lynne Nicely on December 8, 1964 and sister, Melodye Craig.

Graveside service will be held at a later date at Fairview Cemetery, Servia, Indiana.  A local service is being planned.
