Obituary of Carol Dawn Schrock

Mrs. Carol Dawn Schrock died unexpectedly in her home on November 2, 2023 in Milton, FL at the age of 67.

Carol is survived by her mother, Emma Hamilton of Bedford, Indiana; husband, Gary Schrock; children, Patrick (Holly) Hanson, Joseph (Ashley) Schrock, Uriah (Rose) Schrock, Abby (Brad) Counts; brothers, Nick (Barbara) Hamilton, Jerry Hamilton, Larry Hamilton; and grandchildren, Courtney Hanson, Austin Combs, Allen Counts, Layla Schrock, Aryana Hanson, Paisley Schrock, Adelynn Counts, 2 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her dog Molly.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ray Hamilton; son, Joshua Hanson.

Carol Schrock was born on March 15, 1956 in Bloomfield, Indiana to Ray and Emma Hamilton. She moved to Florida in 1991 where she worked at Vanity Fair for 5 years, then eventually graduated from Pensacola Junior College in 2002 with a degree in Culinary Arts, holding multiple jobs as a chef and kitchen supervisor, until she officially retired in 2021. Carol was passionate about cooking and her family. Her children remember her as a strong, hardworking, caring mother who had a big heart and although may have been stubborn at times, she always had the best intentions for her family. Her circle may have been small, but the impact that she made on their lives was enormous. She will be dearly missed.

The funeral service date is not yet set, but is planned to occur in Greene County Indiana. All will be welcome to attend and celebrate Carol Dawn Schrock's life. Anyone with fond memories, stories, or keepsakes feel free to attend and share.
