Obituary of Fred E Becker

Fred E. Becker, age 85, of Gulf Breeze, Florida  passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.

Fred was born in Kendallville, Indiana on May 29, 1938 to Reuben and Lulu Becker of Kendallville, Indiana.  He obtained his GED for high school and some college while in the Marine Corps.  He excelled on the Marine Corps Pistol Team while in the Marines.

Fred was a friendly face at the Walmart in Gulf Breeze (Tiger Point) as well as a driver for Dominos and Papa Johns.  He was seen selling phones for Alltel on Tyndall AFB.  He was an avid golfer, a great Salesman, a great guy for a laugh.  Fred was a man who never met a stranger and always had a joke of the day to share with everyone.

Fred is survived by his nephews, Dennis and Douglas Dukes; Grand-nieces and nephews.  Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Rueben and Lulu Becker; brothers, Richard and Robert Becker, and sister, Ersyl Dukes all of Kendallville, Indiana.

 

Services and internment for Fred will be at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida.  To be announced at a later date.
