Obituary of William Patrick Reilly
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of William Patrick Reilly, lovingly known as Billy, who had just turned 55 on January 30th. Billy lived in Santa Rosa Beach, Walton County, Florida, and departed from this world too soon due to a heart attack on February 9th, 2024. His sudden passing will forever remain in our memory. We pray for all those who loved Billy to find peace in his passing, knowing that he has been reunited with his beloved parents in heaven. There, he will no doubt find solace and comfort in the arms of his creators.
Billy was born in McKeesport, PA to Barbara L. Hornfeck and Thomas J. Reilly. He was a talented motocross racer who showed great courage on the track. He was also dedicated and loyal to his family and friends. Billy had a great sense of humor and a vivid imagination that could make anyone laugh. He had an amazing ability to recall past events and his reminiscing always brought a smile to our faces. His adventurous and outgoing spirit will live on through our fondest memories of him.
William is survived by his oldest brother, James Reilly, and his youngest brother, Timothy Reilly. His father and mother, Thomas and Barbara Reilly, have passed before him.
The Reilly family has planned a gathering to spread a part of Bill's remains into the Gulf of Mexico, where he spent some of his best days soaking up the sun and floating in the water. Another portion of him will be buried next to his daughter, from sweetheart, Renee Patrick. Finally, he will return home with the Geruschat family and be placed near his paternal grandparent’s gravesite.
Dearest Billy, may you rest in peace. We pray you know how deeply loved and forever missed you will be by your family and closest friends. We love you!
God’s Garden
God looked around his Garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain. And knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw your path was difficult, he closed your tired eyes, He whispered to you “Peace be Thine” and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain, we would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again. You’ve left us precious memories, your love will be our guide, you’re always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you on the day God called you home. ~Anonymous
