Obituary of Frederick Leon Watson

Mr. Frederick Leon Watson was born the youngest child to the late Jerry L. Watson and Icephine K. Watson in Pensacola, Florida on December 4, 1970. He was affectionately known as Fred.

Fred graduated with the class of 1989 from Pine Forest High School where he was on the basketball.

He took up the trade from his Father and Elder Brothers as a carpenter. Fred enjoyed his family, fishing, but mostly he enjoyed grilling for his family during family gatherings.

Fred was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacorya Harris, father, Jerry Lee Watson Sr.; brother, Jerry Lee Watson, Jr.; sister, Debert Ann Nettles; and nephew, Jheril Watson.

Left to cherish memory, devoted son, Dageon F. (Phatoria) Watson; daughter Nadia Watson; brothers, Kenneth Wayne, Vince, "Little Joe" (Bobbi) Watson; two sisters, Pastor Shirley (Bishop Joseph) Wingate, Veronica Watson Hedger; two granddaughters, A'Laina Watson and Patience Watson; two sisters-in-law, Deborah Salter-Watson, Tonyse Gray; aunts, Otmatha Watson, Laura Thompson, Vera Billups; uncle, Ed Johnson; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, devoted nephew, Jerry Lee Watson III; devoted childhood friends, Darrell Wilson, George Ganier Il, and Eddonice Royster.

 

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 with visitaion at 11:00 AM and Service at 12:00 PM at True Worship Baptist Church, 241 E. Ensley Street, Pensacola, Florida 32514. followed by burial at Resthaven Gardens Cemetery.
