Obituary of David Bryan Assadi
David Bryan Assadi passed away May 30, 2024. Dave is survived by his wife Paula of 29 years; daughters Amber and Gabby and son Alex; brother Farid Assadi; and sisters Aisha Assadi, Jamila Yousfzai and Arianna Wessel.
Born December 27,1965 David grew up in Alexandria, Virginia and Pensacola, Florida. He attended Pensacola Junior College and University of Florida. He whole heartidly embraced people and spent most of his career in business development and marketing. Most recently, David’s career was in talent acquisition, with Lockheed Martin Space, a position he deemed as “The coolest job on the planet.”
A sports aficionado, David was an equal opportunity lover of all sports teams but had a special affinity to his Gators football team and the Washington Redskins (he desperately tried to love the Commanders).
David’s legacy shines bright in the hearts of those he touched. His laughter could light up a room and his heart was as big as the sun. He cherished every precious moment of life, expressing gratitude for all his blessings. David focused on people and was profoundly committed to others.
His greatest accomplishment was being a dad. (He was, in fact, a big kid himself.) As humble and loving dad, he was a cherished presence at his kids’ activities and volunteered as a football and basketball coach as well as a scout leader.
David loved deeply and was devoted to his family and friends. He will be long remembered for his good cheer, quick wit, and magnanimous personality.
Please join us to celebrate and share stories of his life at Barrel Oak Winery and Brewery in Delaplane, Virginia on August 9, 2024 from 12:00-3:00.
