Sue (Gibson) Libby passed away peacefully on July 10, 2024, in Pensacola, Florida, just three days shy of her 81st birthday. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, on July 13, 1943, Sue lived a life filled with love, creativity, and a deep compassion for animals and the environment. Sue was the beloved wife of David G. Libby, with whom she shared many joyful years. She is also survived by her sisters, Janice Gibson of Andalusia, Alabama, and Charlotte Turner of Athens, Alabama. Sue's family extended to her two adored dogs, Rusty and Frodo, who brought immense joy and companionship into her life. A graduate of California State University, Sacramento, Sue earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. Her education fueled a lifelong passion for literature and the arts. Sue was a talented artist, best known for her exquisite animal portraits. Her love for animals was evident in her art and dedication as a conservationist and an active member of her community. Sue was a devout St. Christopher's Episcopal Church member in Pensacola, Florida, where she found a supportive and loving community. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and a sense of belonging. Sue's kindness and generosity made her a beloved friend to many. Her legacy lives on through her beautiful artwork and the lasting impact she made on her friends, family, and community. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her
