Obituary of Lois Elaine Smith

Lois Elaine Barrington Smith, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 27, 2024. Born on February 16, 1942, Lois spent her life bringing warmth and joy to those around her. The only thing she loved more than her family was the beach with her friends and her sister. She was a member of Plainview Baptist Church.

Lois is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer Johns (Randy). Jennifer was at the heart of Lois' life, and in 2000 and 2004, Lois was blessed with the gift of grandchildren. Camryn and Caroline brought a new layer of happiness and fulfillment to her life. They were her pride and joy and reason for living.
She also leaves behind her brother John Barrington (Ouida), many nieces and nephews across the country, as well as her two best friends of almost 80 years, Shirley Manz and Margaret Penton.

She was predeceased by her father, John Barrington Sr., her mother, Janie Barrington, her sister, Debbie Melton, and her brother, Paul Barrington.
