Obituary of Samuel Glen McLemore
Samuel Glen McLemore joined his parents and beloved wife, Ella Mae McLemore, in Heaven on August 15, 2024.
Now released from the toils and suffering of this life, cancer can no longer touch him. Sam was born on February 28, 1954 in Richmond, Kentucky, but grew up in Pensacola, FL. He was a firefighter in the Air Force from 1972 to 1974, worked on L&N Railroad and later a skilled painter all over the Gulf Coast. Feisty, yes, but a fierce and unyielding advocate for those he loved. The world has lost a great light.
His wisdom and guidance remain in this world in the hearts and minds of those he left behind including his son, Kenneth Bishop (Ginger); grandson, Hunter Bishop; brothers, Robert McLemore (Connie), Mark McLemore, Charles McLemore (Michelle); and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Procession to the cemetery will leave Olive Baptist Church-Warrington Campus, located at 103 West Winthrop Avenue, Pensacola, FL, promptly at 12:50PM.
