Obituary of Terry Curtis Douglas
Terry Curtis Douglas, 73 of Gulf Breeze, Florida passed away on September 1, 2024. He was born June 23, 1951 to Curtis Albert Douglas and Alice Rose Elsey in St Louis, Missouri.
Terry graduated high school in from Pacific High School in 1968. He attended the University of Missouri - Rolla and graduated in 1973 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity and played baseball in college. He also played semi- pro base ball and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1973. He was a bombardier- navigator in the A6 intruder until 1978 when he was honorably discharged from the Marines. He went to work for Remington Arms. His career spanned over 35 years, and he worked in all three areas of manufacturing for them at the plants in Ilion, NY, Ada, OK, and Lonoke, AR. He retired to spend time at the beach, play golf, fish, and love his kitties.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother Donald Douglas. He is survived by his daughter Julia Hargis and her husband Graham, of Navarre, Fl, his grandchildren, Elizabeth and Liam, his brothers, Lee Douglas and his wife Sue, Joe Douglas, and Everett Douglas.
There will not be a public funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made to your local humane society or animal shelter.
