Obituary of Myles Garrett Lambert

In Loving Memory of Myles Garrett Lambert

On March 18, 1985, the world was gifted Myles Garrett Lambert, a soul of rare warmth, humor, and grace. Born in Mobile, Alabama, Myles eventually made his home in Pensacola, Florida, where he brought his bright spirit to all who knew him. A dedicated and beloved mail carrier with the United States Postal Service for over seven years, Myles was known for his unwavering kindness, humor, and infectious joy, lighting up every route and relationship he touched.

Myles effortlessly played so many roles in life: a devoted husband, cherished son, treasured brother, loving uncle, loyal godfather, and steadfast friend. He had an uncanny sense for knowing just what someone needed, whether it was one of his famous hot cocoa teacup brownies (complete with chocolate handles and marshmallow centers) or a thoughtful Alabama football gnome for his dad. A true craftsman at heart, his creativity knew no bounds; he applied his passion for 3D printing to projects as unique as they were thoughtful, like customized gardening tools for his loved ones.

Among the many joys of Myles’ life was his husband, Gary Mitchell. Their lives together were rich in shared love and laughter. They traveled frequently, made a life of memorable traditions, and found joy in the small things, like their endless debate over Myles’ ever-growing DVD collection.

Myles had an incredible array of passions, each one reflecting his vibrant personality. Alabama football, Mobile Mardi Gras, The Legend of Zelda, intricate 3D prints, countless movies, anime, comic book characters, Legos, and Halloween were only a few of the things he loved most. He poured his heart into these hobbies, often bringing family and friends along with him into his worlds of wonder.

Above all, Myles was known for his compassion, humor, and fierce loyalty. He surrounded himself with a chosen family—those who, like him, nurtured deeply, laughed freely, and cared wholeheartedly. Myles’ life was a testament to his name: he was gracious, he was a soldier, and to those who knew him, he was a king.

Myles Garrett Lambert passed away on October 20, 2024, but his spirit, love, and laughter will continue to be felt by those who had the privilege of knowing him. There are no words to express how deeply he is loved and missed. His memory will forever be a light to those he leaves behind.
