Obituary of Thomas Earl Cardenas
Thomas “Big Butch” Cardenas age 76 from Panama City Beach, FL. Born in Pensacola, FL. on January 29, 1948, Passed away in his sleep on October 27th 2024 Leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished in our hearts.
Butch was not just a name; it was a reflection of his larger-than-life personality, he was a character, a man whose presence could fill a room and whose laughter could brighten the darkest days. Though he may have had a grumpy exterior in his later years, those who knew him well understood the sweetness that lay beneath.
He was the proud owner of a seafood market, a testament to his love for the Gulf and the community he served. For many, his market was not just a place to shop; it was a gathering spot filled with stories big and small, laughter, and the aroma of the sea.
But beyond his professional accomplishments, it was his family that formed the cornerstone of Butch’s life. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Wanda and a proud father to his son, Butch, and daughter-in-law, Lindsay. Butch took immense pride in being a grandfather to his four grandchildren, Thomas “BB”, Kalei, Kristin, and Layla, each of whom held a special place in his heart. He cherished every moment spent with them. He had a fierce love for his family that was unwavering, and he often expressed it in his own unique way.
As we remember Butch today, let us not only mourn his passing but celebrate the life he lived. Let us cherish the laughter, the lessons, and the love he imparted to all of us. He may no longer be with us in body, but his spirit will forever remain in our hearts and memories.
Thank you, Butch, for being a part of our lives. We will miss you dearly, but we are grateful for the time we had with you. May you rest in peace.
