The things I will always cherish about my Aunt Laura: Her quick wit. The way she talked for her animals using weird animal voices. The way she delegated and told you what to do (she didn't exactly ask, but you did it anyhow). The way she looked after everyone else, putting herself last. The way she adopted people into her family, blood didn't matter. The way she was under 5' tall but acted like she was 6' tall. How that one time when she was a bartender at Attitudes, but didn't know how to make drinks and would ask the customer "I know what I put in mine, but what do you put in yours?" (like in a Manhattan!). Her work ethic. Her fierce love for her son and her grandkids. How you knew she disapproved just by the tone of her voice or the nod of her head. How she took me in when I was 19 and then again when I was 39. Yes, 39. And much, much, more. You will be dearly missed, Aunt Laura. But I know you lived a FULL and a GOOD life!
