Obituary of Tracy Katrice Hayes

Tracy Katrice Hayes, born July 29, 1971, in Pensacola, Florida, to Venita Owens and Tyrone Catchings, passed away peacefully at the age of 53. Tracy’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and dedication to her family. A graduate of Woodham High School, Tracy went on to achieve certification in Dental Assisting, but her greatest passion and devotion were to her children. As a mother of four, she poured her heart into raising Shacara, Deondre’, Savion, and Cameron.

 

Her love for her children was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Tracy was previously married to Rodney Chisholm, and she is survived by her beloved children, one daughter, Shacara Thomas; sons, Deondre’ Chisholm, Savion Chisholm, and Cameron Sapp.

 

She also leaves behind a large and loving family, including her longtime best-friend Angela Hurry, siblings: Marrio Parker, Tyrone Catchings Ray, Jacobi Catchings Ray, Varnardo Catchings, Michael Knox, and Kyle Knox; as well as her sisters, Keta Catchings, LaKresha Catchings, Meagan Catchings, Jasmine Catchings, and Zaynighia Catchings. Tracy was a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews, and her family will forever carry the memory of her warmth and kindness. In addition to her children and siblings, Tracy’s legacy is carried on by her three grandchildren: Josiah Farris, Laniyah Farris, and Calaia Raye Sapp. Her love for her grandchildren brought her immense joy, and they will forever hold a special place in her heart.

 

Tracy will be remembered for her unwavering love, her nurturing spirit, and her ability to make those around her feel valued and cared for. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, and her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew her.

 

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 5627 N. Davis Highway, Pensacola, Florida 32503.
