Obituary of Brendan Michael Duplantis

Brendan Michael Duplantis, age 56, of Destin, Florida  passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

Brendan was born in Houma, Louisiana on March 31, 1968 to Camille Charles Duplantis III of Houma, LA and Emma Marion Haines Duplantis of San Bernardino, CA.  He graduated from South Terrebonne High School and Immediately enlisted in the Navy.  He married Terri Leblanc in 1993.

He served aboard the USS Spruance and USS Curts, two separate ships.  He was assigned to several different locations, such as San Diego, Japan, Philippines, Korea, and Thailand during the Gulf War.  Brendan volunteered to give his kidney to his sister Phyllis when she needed one during the latter months of his six-year military service.  She lived an additional 12 years because of his kidney donation.  Following their marriage, Terri and Brendan assisted in raising Terri's younger brother, Phillip Leblanc, and sister, Jeanne "NaNa" Leblanc, due to her sibling's mother passing away.  Brendan worked as a copier technician for CPC Solutions for the past 30 plus years.  He was a member of Hercules Mardi Gras Krewe in Houma, LA.

Terri and he enjoyed traveling and playing competitive board games.  Terri would constantly say that they were "foodies in training."  He was a loving caring husband to his wife Terri.  Brendan's childhood friends Michael Ferguson and Buddy Millet have been such a blessing.  Also Angelo Pearson was a cherished friend!  Together, they enjoyed playing a solid round of golf.
