Obituary of Deborah Lee Cimino

Deborah Lee Cimino, 74, of Pace, Florida passed away peacefully on February 21, 2023 at Covenant Care Center for Hospice at West Florida Hospital surrounded by her family. Debbie was born on April 23, 1948 in Erie, Pennsylvania, the eldest daughter of Clarence and Charlene (Alexander) Wegelin which have preceded her in death. She graduated from McDowell High School in 1966 where she had met her husband, John A. Cimino and later married in 1979. Debbie and John love that they shared the same birthday. ​Debbie worked more than two decades for the Credit Bureau of Erie. In 1987 her and John relocated their family to London, Ohio where they owned Madison Lodge for close to 30 years. The two of them were involved in the Corvette Troy Club with her sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl & Dave. In which she never gave up the need for speed. During this time she opened Busy Bee Craft Store where she was able to spend hours with her beloved Mother. She continued to work part time in the office for Choctaw Lake from 1998-2020. Retirement brought her and John to Florida where she finally got her dream home. Christmas was her absolute favorite time to decorate. In the spring/summer she loved to plant flowers and display a beautiful upkeep of their home. Everyone knows how much Debbie enjoyed the warmth of the sun. You could find her sitting outside with a good book or simply spending time laughing with friends & family. Almost as soon as her and John got to Florida, she began crafting with her sister and brother-in-law, Tali & Keith. With the help of her husband, John they participated in several shows/events. Debbie is survived by her husband, John of almost 44 years; her four children, Michael (Marsha) Toomey; Paul Toomey; Melissa (Richard) Baker; Lisa (Michael) Kendall; 19 wonderful grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; her sisters, Cheryl (Dave) Hussong and Tali (Keith) Gregory, along with many other relatives and friends. Debbie will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
