You are missed Doc Roger! Say hi to our fur babies, Kohle and Tripp. And give Gloria a big hug and share a smile from us! I know they’re all thrilled to have you with them in heaven. Condolences to the family. Doc Roger certainly left a legacy.

Deepest condolences, prayers, and love, to the family of Doc Rog. We all miss him as much as you do... also, all his "kids", who can't come on here and express their sympathy themselves. My Fritzi, Heidi, and Rudi (as well as a couple of feral cats who owe him), wish him Godspeed; all my others are ecstatic to greet him at the Rainbow Bridge ~ they're the lucky ones (please hug Tobi, Speedi, Kobi, Alfi, Thor, Fritz 1, Poofie, Penny, and all the rest for me). The rest of us ~ our hearts are broken... however, we're all so much better off for having known and experienced him ~ could there be a better person? Hope to see you again sometime, Roger ~ just hope I get to go where you are. Why do the good ones have to leave us so early...?
Much love and gratitude,
Fritzi, Heidi, Rudi, and Lynda

Doc Rog was always loving, friendly, patient and king to our babies and to us. He took excellent care of them, "listened" to them and to us. About 25 years ago, when my oldest daughter was 5 years old, I brought our dog in for an appointment and as he always did, he asked how everything was going in the family. I told him I was so concerned because my daughter had been sick with awful gastrointestinal issues for weeks, was lethargic and emaciated. Even though I had taken her to her pediatrician, nothing was helping. He told me to bring a stool sample of hers to him to check it out. My poor baby had giardia, a water-borne parasite! I had to "cover" for Doc Rog doing the lab work and tell the pediatrician I had taken a stool sample to UWF to one of my lab classes and discovered the parasite. I totally feel Doc Rog saved her life...and of course, charged me NOTHING for it! Had I trusted the pediatrician, no telling how far my baby would have wasted before getting on the right treatment. God bless Doc Rog!
God definitely blessed me with having him as our family veterinarian since 1988. He will be sorely missed...and to be honest, I have dreaded his retirement or passing for years.

Aw, Doc. How can this be? Trying to fill this hole in my life with the so amazing memories ~ all the luvins, ear scratchin, fascinating and gnarly surgeries, tails waggin, poop testing, new friends, that stupid vacuum cleaner & museum piece answering machine, LAUGHING ALL THE TIME, hearing how's our breathing? Breathing is good Doc. "Very good". (sigh) the compassion, the hugs, the love. Your laugh. Your strength and determination. And all your B.S. So many blessings in such a short time. I wanted to learn so so much more from you. I'll always miss you Doc. Till I get there. Fair winds & following seas.

Roger always liked it when I came in with my kitties or with our special girl Kraken. He knew I was good for a bad joke. Hazel would smack me and call us pigs as we all laughed. He is a great guy. Hoping he is enjoying some good surfing and seeing all the pets he's cared for. I know they are wagging tails all over.
