I was a former neighbor of Susan’s when our children were small. I have fond memories of us trying to run the track at the HS while leaving our youngest children on a quilt with toys. Another great memory was going to the beach with the children. I had not seen Susan in close to 18 years and was thinking of her today. Was sad to see she had passed away last year. Susan Brown was my first and greatest art teacher. She had a kind, yet stern nature that pushed me to discover what I was truly capable of as a young artist. She polished away all the insecurity to reveal beautiful things that I didn't know could come out of me. She was also one of my biggest encouragers later in life long after I sat on a stool in her middle school art studio. I left a mark on my heart that will never go away.
My ❤️goes out to her family & friends. She was an amazing art teacher who saw potential in her students .She definitely made a difference in my life a true blessing.
